Conker wins at virtual CIM Marketing Excellence Awards!
The eleventh annual CIM Marketing Excellence Awards was held (virtually) this month – and we’re delighted to report that Conker was a winner!
Despite the fact that we couldn’t don our glad rags in person, we were over the moon to receive the Best Use of PR award for our work on the Vitality Netball World Cup 2019.
An unforgettable campaign for team Conker, our work smashed ticket sales with memorable milestone events and 10 months of top tier coverage.
The award was judged by a panel of experts, including Richard Goodhead, senior vice president at Rolls Royce and Bonnie Pelosi, director of brand marketing and communications at EY, and leading industry figures from Prudential, Groupe Bel and the Financial Times amongst many others.
Chris Daly, CEO at Chartered Institute of Marketing said: “Congratulations to all those shortlisted. When we first announced entries to be open back in 2019, we could not have anticipated or imagined the challenge the world has faced over the past year. Yet despite this, marketers have proved their resilience and creativity at every stage, which is why we are delighted to be able to announce the 2020 winners and reward excellence in the field of marketing.
“This year has tested our industry like no other, but the breadth and wealth of today’s shortlist ought to serve as a vital reminder that our industry is a powerful and critical function of businesses, particularly during challenging times.”
From a Conker perspective, we’re thrilled to see that excitement around netball is being kept so high – with the past year a tough one to say the least for sports events, we’re looking forward to athletes and fans being able to enjoy them live and in person again.
